My Week(s)!
That above picture sums it up!
I returned early from my stay with the kids in DC
because I could feel a BE flare coming on.
Plus I knew I needed to return in August for nursery work!
(the contractors have still not started the demo work)
By the time I got off the plane, I was down and out!
But I do have some shares from the last 2 weeks in DC.
And very soon, I hope to be back to all the creative projects swirling in my head!

She Thought Her Dress was Ruined
Handcrafted Society Challenge for June was attractive mending and upcycling,
Katie pulled one of her favorite dresses, her summer uniform, out of a box that is destined for the amazing Calvin Klein Recycle Program.
We brainstormed solutions to some significant stains down on the right side. And it didn’t take us long to find a great solution that was quick, easy and very budget-friendly.
Did You Miss This 4th of July Mailbox Swag?
It’s so easy! And I’m thrilled to say it survived some crazy nasty storms we had while I was gone in DC. It was just twisted to one side a bit and only needed a hand to center it again.

Confession: I’ve Been Gatekeeping
But only for a couple of weeks until I could personally verify that these are real deals!!!
They are for REAL!!!!
Have you heard of Rebel?
It is an amazing site selling overstock, returned and checked products from top retailers and brands.
HINT: Check your products right away, Everything is returnable, but just for 7 days.
The savings are worth it!!!
Our daughter and bonus son have been shopping for a new two-kiddo stroller.
They have learned how important a stroller is for their DC lifestyle — they have one car that generally sits on their parking pad. They walk everywhere!
They settled on the Gazelle from Cybex, but Katie really wanted the e-assist option to help her back with the slow, steady incline from their house to daycare.
But it felt ridiculous bumping the price to $1200 — GULP!
I was searching online for sources and best prices on the Cybex e-gazelle stroller and
Rebel popped up.
The exact e-stroller she wanted was $200 less than the non e-assist version anywhere else.
They saved over $400 buying it from Rebel.
And THIS Stroller is amazing!!!

- Folds so easily
- 20! Yes 20 different configurations
- Holds their Graco infant car seat
- Easiest to adjust harness straps (huge!)
- Comes with the extra “market basket”
- Weather cover for the toddler seat incl.
- Great tires — important for their sidewalks and alleys
- And the E-Assist is a game-changer, will even rock the stroller (like at a picnic)
- Optional bassinet pram
- Optional ride board for toddler</li>
So I spent some time looking for many of their baby products the kids have and love.
Some are not the exact brand they have, but many are. And all things we highly recommend:
And for those looking beyond the baby/toddler market,
I pulled together a range of deals just to give you an idea of what’s available:
Happy Summer All!!!
