My Week!
Busy, Busy, Busy But with all kinds of good stuff!
Oh my goodness, life got busy in a flash this week —
please tell me you’re right there with me!
Between teaching a sewing workshop for young women exploring small business and entrepreneurship skills today,
and hosting a candidate meet & greet on Friday,
my week has been a lovely kind of chaos.
Now I’m racing to finish one more little project before I fly back to DC on Sunday —
it needs to travel with me, and it’s a small detail that’s going to mean a lot
once you see the bigger picture for the nursery.
I’ll be there for a week finishing up all those projects, and fingers crossed,
the posts you’ve been waiting for start rolling out October 1st!
Have I mentioned how great it is to have a friend who has all the tools
AND thinks he’s a tool library!!!
Thank you Aaron!
How’s your week shaping up — anything you’re racing to finish before a trip?

Transitional Closet Woes?
I’ve got you with several cool fashion tips.
I have always, always been more comfortable with scarves than with jewelry! So I am thrilled that scarves are The It Thing again!
They are a great way to add a touch of fall to your outfit without melting with the heat. Just pick a scarf in fall tones and you’re set.
Julie [@ThatJulieGirl] has so many great tips for you if you’re not quite comfortable tying one around your neck.
Also hop over to her IG account and give her a follow and don’t miss this one, which is my current favorite!
Check out my picks for Fall scarves from several of my favorite scarf sources, because we both agree there’s no such thing as too many scarves!

Who says scientists are too serious?
This week proved otherwise.
Paleontologists in North Dakota found the first-ever trackway left by a full-grown T. rex — actual footprints from an actual dinosaur, just sitting in the badlands this whole time.
Meanwhile, UCLA researchers are letting the internet vote for
America’s fattest marmot (yes, really, and yes, I voted).
And the Ig Nobel Prizes handed out their tongue-in-cheek science awards this week, honoring research on everything from cockroach milk to the mechanics of nose-blowing.
Proof that curiosity and a sense of humor go hand in hand.
