What I Can’t Let Go Of:

That it’s June!!!

How? When?

I also can’t let go of the awe I feel about technology—not the bits and bytes, but how it can have an incredible, beautiful effect on our lives when we use it right.

Content creators have a rather solitary job, which makes it critical for bloggers to find
their squad, their team, their people.

There are six women in my group, the Blogging Besties—
a spur of the moment name we hit upon that has stuck for three years now.

It’s impossible for me to comprehend that after all this time,
we’ve only all been together in person once.

Yet we Zoom every Thursday. We have a steady stream of text messages. We’re always there for each other—learning, sharing freely, and constantly empowering one another.

It’s women lifting up women, and it’s truly beautiful to be part of.

But the life-changing piece is that we’ve become close, loving friends. We are blogging sisters.

When one has a win, we all rejoice.
When one needs help, we all rally.
And when one grieves, we all hurt.

That’s what it means to be framily, right?

We’re literally spread from coast to coast—from the South to up North,
with me right smack in the middle along with another Midwesterner.

And I am forever grateful to technology, and how we choose to use it,
for fostering this little family of blogging sisters.

Two pieces of vintage poster artwork adorn the wall: one showcases "Memphis Belle" with WWII airmen and their bomber, while the other features a stylized figure in a suit labeled "James," posed before a sleek car.

Pinterest Challenge: Styling Coffee Tables for Summer

A couple of magazines and a remote does not count as a styled coffee table!

You want something that is inviting, interesting and says something about you. Intimidated?

Don’t be! Follow my simple 8 tips (or guidelines) and you’ll have a winning display every time!!! Works for mantels, bookshelves and centerpieces too.

A cozy style round coffee table scene features a tray with a glass vase of greenery, a beaded garland, and a lit candle. Stacked books, a yellow letter opener, and a textured throw cloth complete the look. A chair and cushions are in the background.

Showstopping Tablescape

I know, I often share Leslie of My 100 Year Old Home, but I just can’t resist. I mean, just look at these floral “crowns”!

She so often has such fresh, new ideas. Projects that inspire me, sos I think you might find them inspiring too — and that’s my goal here.

So hop over to Leslie’s post and see what you think. I’d love to do something similar.

Keep an eye out for how I reinterpret what Leslie started.

A floral chandelier with orange, white, and pink roses, greenery, and other flowers is hanging outdoors from a metal and rope frame. The background is blurred with trees and sunlight visible.

A pastel blue refrigerator with gold handles is decorated with potted plants and fruit on top. A monstera plant in a white pot sits on a stool next to the fridge against a white wall.

Have You Every Considered Painting Your Fridge?

After seeing Ananda’s [A Piece of Rainbow] refrigerator inspired by a retro SMEG one, I would certainly be on board in the right home and room.

If not your kitchen, perhaps a mini fridge in a fun theater room or in the pool cabana, or in an outdoor kitchen.

Or a secondary overflow fridge in the hangout room, or a butler’s pantry.

It sure is fun to dream up the possibilities!

These Sure Worked For Me!!!

I want to start by saying I am NOT a medical professional.

And this is NOT my normal kind of favorite find.

But really the point of sharing in my newsletter is to make your life a bit easier, happier, cuter.

And life is not always easy as we travel down the road of “experience”, and our bodies throw “surprises” our way, just to test us.

So if this can help you, mission accomplished!!!

Maybe two years ago, my legs decided they would cramp up in the middle of the night, with absolutely no warning — no foreshadowing whatsoever!

As they started happening more frequently, The Hubs and I were really missing a good nights sleep.

I mentioned this at a gathering of women and three very matter of factly replied “Calm”.

What? was my response. But I checked it out.

Fast forward two years and we were at a party and a friend mentioned his new battle with nighttime leg cramps. I automatically replied “Calm”. To which he responded “What?”.

So friend, just in case this is happening to you, let me share my miracle answer to my night leg cramps – Calm Magnesium supplement. I started using the powder that you dissolve in warm water and drink before bedtime.

But for convenience, I switched over to the gummies. Three a night have eliminated the cramps entirely for me. This large jug of them on Amazon is the best price I have found anywhere.

I hope you’re enjoying the weekend!!! Thanks for hanging out with me a bit.

Remember life is precious! Relish every moment and hold your loved ones extra tight and a moment longer.
