Happy 39th!!!
No certainly not my birthday (although I wouldn’t mind going back a few years), Today is our 39th anniversary.
We actually celebrated with friends a couple of days ago at my favorite restaurant!
What an amazing life Doug and I have built together. And did I mention one of our kids moved back to KC, and his girlfriend came along? I know! I can’t get over it. We even had this wonderful pair celebrating with us. I don’t think life could get any better — well, maybe better come Aug when we will have our first grand baby!!!
So much to celebrate and so much to look forward to. But for now, I’m celebrating today!!!
And there’s a reason, I couldn’t celebrate with The Hubs today.
I’m spending the day with three of my Blogging Besties (so you. right want to keep and eye on my stories today).
Two are heading on down to Dallas tomorrow, the other back home in Southern MO.
Next Tuesday we meet up again with two more in Rockwell TX where we we are spending four days learning together, growing together and encouraging each other.
And I’m sure its will all be generous sprinkling of laughter throughout.
What I Can’t Let Go Of:
(just like the NPR Politics podcast on Fridays- minus the “Politics or otherwise” disclaimer.
This blog is publicly, a politics-free zone, so all musings will be “Otherwise“.)
While I prepare for our retreat, I can’t let go of this quote posted earlier by one of the retreat gals:
“Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.”
— Amy Poehler”
So true!!!
This group of my six Blogging Besties have zoomed together every week for almost three years. We are in communication daily through our phones, helping and encouraging each other.
This will be the first time we have all been together in person!!!
I could not be more excited.
These ladies have changed my life, and I can’t wait to see further change and growth!
