Can you believe that sunset?
You’re thinking: if that the sunset where’s the sun then, right?
It’s behind me. I’m standing on our patio looking EAST!!!!
After a week of off and on showers every day, everything was so green and all the colors so vivid.
(No filters. used!!!!)
I bet the sailors were all delighting over this red sky. at night.
I was so delighted I was ready to break into song and dance —
but that would have ruined it for everyone.
So instead, I grabbed a glass of white wine and silenced my phone
after I snapped a few pictures
And just enjoyed this show with The Hubs.
It wasn’t the slightest bit challenging to slow and savor for this heavenly show!

KariAnne [Thistlewood Farms] shared a wonderful Slow & Savor moment when she spied these old initials in her driveway.
Did you have a special slow & savor moment this week?
Share it in the comments below.
It will be a great reminder that those moments come in all shapes, sizes and stripes.

On the Blog This Week

On Wednesday, I shared my latest UpCycle.
Can you guess what I turned this chair into?
And to make it even better, I challenged my friend, Cindy [Reinvented Delaware] to also upcycle an old chair — without either of us knowing what the other was doing.
One of Cindy’s super powers is up-cycling and she is all in on vintage farmhouse.
Now I too LOVE a good up-cycle, but in a more modern style.
How different do you think our projects will be?

Reminder for my Stocking Families:
It’s August! Which means Christmas is moving in fast!!!
Can we ever start too early?
Well, I certainly can’t as the Christmas season is my crazy busy time.
This is a reminder that if you have South House Christmas stockings and your family has or is growing, and you need an additional stocking or three to blend in with your originals,
NOW is the time to order!!!
To encourage you to order before the season starts (before Sept. 1), I waive the $15 surcharge that Add-On stockings carry during the holiday season.
Click here, to order from SouthHouseDesigns.com or click here if you prefer going through Etsy.

Bacon-Maple Rice Krispie Treats
Being a KC gal, out of all the incredible tailgating recipes out there, I felt compelled to share this one.
Tailgating at Arrowhead stadium (home of the Chiefs) has been noted as part Chili Cook-Off, part BBQ Competition where bacon is traded as currency and the party doesn’t stop until the meat runs out.

Does that help you start moving towards the Fall path? Because the thermometer sure isn’t helping yet! Sweater and boots? I’ll pass, thank you
(at least while the temps are still hanging in the 90’s)

As you probably know by now, I use some affiliate links in my newsletters and on the website. An affiliate link means that if you click on my link and purchase something, I may receive a small commission but you pay nothing extra.
I truly appreciate you using my links whenever possible!!!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!! Thanks for hanging out with me a bit,
As I said before, I would greatly appreciate your feedback, any special requests, or questions you have.
