A wicker wreath with a pink bow and hanging hearts sits on a white tile backsplash. In front are a pink and white patterned teacup, a frosted glass bottle, stacked plates, and a potted green plant.

What I Can’t Let Go Of:

In the kitchen, that might look like choosing a creative project that stretches you just a bit, without asking you to become someone youโ€™re not. (Those love letter sugar cookies were exactly that for me โ€” playful, creative, but not overwhelming.)

And outside the kitchen, I think the same idea applies.

We donโ€™t all have the same capacity, the same energy, or the same comfort level at any given moment. Some seasons invite us to step forward. Others ask us to steady ourselves first. Neither is wrong.

What matters is staying present โ€” not hiding, not numbing out โ€” but choosing small, honest steps that fit where we are right now.

On the Blog This Week

This week on the blog, I shared two very different posts โ€”
but theyโ€™re more connected than they might seem at first glance.

Clusters of small pink and white flowers grow among green stems, with weathered wooden branches and a stone wall blurred in the background.

Does the World Feel Overwhelming? Youโ€™re Not Alone

A quieter post, written for moments when things feel unsettled โ€” and how taking one small, human step can help us feel steadier.

Love Letter Sugar Cookies

A creative project designed to meet me where I am โ€” simple enough to enjoy, creative enough to feel satisfying.

Rectangular cookies decorated like pink envelopes with heart-shaped seals are arranged on pink napkins and decorative plates, all set on a light-colored surface in natural sunlight.

If either one meets you where you are right now, Iโ€™m glad.

And as always, the fun, creative DIY projects arenโ€™t going anywhere.
Theyโ€™re part of how I stay grounded โ€” and how I hope you do too.

Two textured gold trays with handles sit on a light wood table. One tray holds a pastel-colored notebook, while books and a white vase are visible in the background.

New Pottery Barn Trays

Am I the only one who can’t get these trays out of my head?

The texture, the color, the raffia wrapped handles have all captivated me.
