What I Can’t Let Go Of:

Yesterday finally arrived!!!

Why? Because we had a run to make to the airport!

Yes!!! To pick up our daughter and our adorable granddaughter.

I am absolutely over the moon.

Our bonus son, Jon, had to go to a week of training.

So this was the perfect time for Katie to check a bunch of “firsts” off the Grand’s list:

  • her first plain ride
  • her first trip to the lake
  • her first time meeting her Uncle Ryan (ssshhh, it’s a surprise)
  • her first time meeting Grittles
  • her first time without Dad every night

On the Blog This Week

Two wooden nutcrackers stand beside a golden, cone-shaped decorative tree. The nutcrackers are accented with gold paint and stand on a green garland, bathed in warm light.

The Power of Adding Gold Leaf

I shared how I used it on nutcrackers,

on Grapevine trees (HINT: it will work on wreaths too)

and on ornaments (three ways!)

New Christmas Tradition for the Kids

Three of my Blogging Besties, also with Little Grands, and I shared ideas for Grandmothering during the Holiday season.

I shared how to make a felt nativity set for the kids.No more hands-off the creche! This is the best way to engage the kiddos as they learn the reason for the season.

I plan to add new characters each year so the story grows as the kids do

A delightful new Christmas tradition.

A delightful felt art piece portrays a kids nativity set with Mary cradling baby Jesus, Joseph by her side, and a manger with hay and a sheep. Each figure is intricately crafted from colored felt and thoughtfully arranged on a framed felt background.

I have a project that has been in the works for quite a while!!!

I’m so excited — I will be posting THREE times this week to get the whole reveal covered!

You’re going to love it!
