What I Can’t Let Go Of:

This fickle weather!!! So much grey along with rain that can’t make up its mind!

But the sun peeked out for a glorious Sunday afternoon and we had to take advantage of it.

The grey weather is making it hard for me to be motivated for a good deep cleaning

before I pull out the Christmas decor.

How about you? Are you also a clean-and-organize-before-decorating type?

I guess I crave a clean base for the Cozy Holiday Haven I have been dreaming up!

On the Blog This Week

Cream tree skirt with deep green velvet banding and buttons covered in assorted red and white fabrics is seen under a flocked Christmas tree on a wood floor

The Tree Skirts Are Ready —

To Be Customized For You!

In a Full-size version — 54-Inch diameter.

Creamy heavy “linen” with your choice of banding AND your choice of buttons.

And also a Small Tree Skirt — 33-Inch diameter. For pencil trees, slim trees, tabletop trees and small spaces.

Same Choice of banding and buttons.

It’s Handcrafted Society week!

Always a fun week for elevated crafting! Our circle of crafters are all challenged with the same medium and we have no idea what each other is working on.

Can you guess what this month’s challenge might be?

Well, we’ll be getting ready for the holidays and sharing items to inspire you, so …

Think shiny & sparkly and you’ve got it!

Aren’t these the best!!!

Amy at Delineate Your Dwelling shares exactly how she makes them — and they look so easy for how pretty they are.

She made her from brown lunch bags, but you could also use white or even striped or polka dot bags for a bright, festive look.

three large, elaborate 3D brown paper snowflakes are seen lying on terra cotta tiles

Beautiful large white paper snowflake is seen on a table with some gold bulbs

Janine at Happy, Happy Nester has also created some beautiful snowflakes with a bit of a different feel.

So pretty and with an extra detail Janine achieved by using a snowflake hole punch.

Craving Beyond Neutral

I’m inspired by these snowflakes — and started dreaming in color!

Just look at the options I found and imagine the possibilities.

HINT: How about a garland of snowflakes or a large cluster of snowflakes (on a wall or in a window) with fairy lights twinkling throughout?
