What I Can’t Let Go Of:

I can’t let go of witnessing the one who made me a mother, turning into a momma herself!

What a wondrous time this has been, not just in seeing her bump develop, but watching her (and her hubs) glow and so excited with anticipation!!!

And if you have the opportunity to follow along with a pregnancy via The Bump app — oh my!

Fascinating!!!

I’m amazed at how little we knew back in our days of pregnancy and delivery.

On the Blog This Week

I had a glorious houseful for the 4th of July holiday and then flew out to DC early on the 5th for a baby shower I was co-hosting and to paint and start setting up the nursery for our first Grand!

And I held my usual Friday post to post today. It is part of a series coordinated with my “Blogging Besties” squad. The six of us bloggers work together supporting, encouraging and empowering each other while we are constantly learning.

In June, all six got together in person for the first time for a Creative Retreat.

Saturday, today, worked best for the group to post our Creative Retreat Series. We are each sharing a different aspect of our Creative Retreat.

What and How-To Pack For a Creative Retreat

This blog post shares how when you’re going to a conference or a retreat, how you select your outfits and how you pack is very different than how you pack for a vacation.

I shared a unique way of packing that virtually eliminates wrinkles (and I wear mostly linen), plus I’ve included a printable Packing Checklist.

In case you might have missed this one, I’m re-sharing, because my clematis is loving her new trellis and I shared it during 4th of July week when many were otherwise distracted:

Support in style: create a chic bamboo trellis for your flower pots or flower beds.

I have a beginner’s guide to building a bamboo trellis for your happy growing climbers.

They will be in the Saturday newsletter emails only

Ways to Use Fresh Herbs Besides Cooking With Them

Is your herb garden going nuts? Mine, too!

Heidi of Eleanor Rose Home put together so many wonderful ideas of how to use our herbs besides cooking with them.

I love this candle idea! And of course a rosemary wreath!!!

How to Paint or Rattan

Kim of Perfecting Places shares how she took an old light wicker lampshade to a darker life.

I love how it picks up the wood of the frame and the little booties!

And she made the process sound so easy!!!

I hope you’ve been enjoying the weekend!!! Thanks for hanging out with me a bit,
