What I Can’t Let Go Of:
This blog is publicly, a politics-free zone, so all musings will be “Otherwise“.)
(just like the NPR Politics podcast on Fridays- minus the “Politics or otherwise” disclaimer.
I keep thinking about how the seasons affect our food choices!
Not just fresh foods, but more the seasonings of the food.
Of course in the winter, we crave a creamy, thin soup or stew, where in summer, we prefer a lighter more broth based soup. No surprise there.
But the seasonings! Even though it is still in the 90’s quite frequently here in the Midwest, I’m no longer craving lemon and blueberry flavors. But I’m all in on pumpkin spice (cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg and ginger).
I get that they’re warm spices, and when the weather has a Fall chill, they sound particularly enticing.
But we don’t have any fall chill yet, and I’m already craving them!!! And I’m not a coffee drinker, so I can’t blame this on Starbucks.
Anyone else with me on this?
Maybe it has something to do with a recipe I’m working on for next week 🤭
I am now consumed with the tasks of hanging, styling and photographing
all the lovely stocking groupings!
It can be a slow and overwhelming task — mostly because I’m doing it under time pressure and
also because our home is in total disarray for 3 weeks, minimum.
I’m truly blessed that The Hubs is so patient!!!
This year, the stockings release is a rollout. One at a time over two weeks.
So be sure you are watching your inbox and IG and FB for each announcement.

Stocking Styling
A step you truly do not want to miss!!!
In 10 -15 minutes, your stockings will be elevated from flat and stiff or flat and droopy the focal point they deserve to be.
Cozy Christmas Stockings
Aren’t these the coziest!
I love how these came together — grey and white with just a touch of blush.
Festive Christmas Stockings
Traditional green and red with a fresh reinterpretation.
A tropical twist with lime, kiwi, raspberry and watermelon.
