Sadly, we are probably going to have to total The Hub’s car,
the tool cabana awning and the golf cart cover need to be replaced.
and we’re still waiting on adjusters and roofers for the rest of our hail repair work.

But again, we are so, so, so very lucky

And it is all so much easier to swallow when the sun is shining and it’s in the
70’s, 80’s and even 90″s (already) .

Diving Right Into Spring!

White line drawings on a window show flowers, decorated Easter eggs, and a bunny holding a large carrot, all set in grass. The scene is seen at night with a dark background outside.

Cute & EASY way to bring spring to your windows!

All that’s needed is a $6 chalk marker and my free printables.

If you can trace, you’ve got it!

Seriously, that’s all it is. I I have more designs for you to choose from!

Charming Spring Arrangement

This was such a fun arrangement to make with my blogging friend Wendy of WM Design House.

It looks so much more complicated than it really was. The key is having a pair of vessels for arranging the floral and the grapevine arbor.

We used two old wooden boxes lined with plastic and fitted with floral oasis foam.

DIY Fun RickRack Flowers

Are these nostalgic for you? They sure take me back.

And they’re fun to make to embellish a spring pillow, finger towels for a powder room, napkin rings, wreaths and more!

Again, so quick and easy to do.

The on controversy is whether it’s Rick Rack or Ric Rac. No matter how you spell it, they’re winners.

So last week, I mentioned that with the days longer and the weather fickle (we know April showers are coming), Spring is my favorite time to take up a new craft.

Etsy is my favorite places for exploring new craft options. This particular kit from Etsy has broken all records for my readers. It continued on this last week as the hands down favorite.

Five embroidery hoops with delicate floral designs stitched on sheer fabric are arranged on a grey surface. Nearby are a pair of scissors, two yellow billy balls, and some dried berries.

Embroidery

Whether your first project or your re-entry into the amazing world of embroidery, the options are inspiring!

I love the fresh, modern take of these spring blooms in hoops. They are so light and airy with the see-thru backgrounds.

These beginner hoops have captured my heart, and many of yours’ too!

Spring Favorites From Toms

I have the hardest time with shoes!

Remember I’m a function first gal!!!
Holds true with fashion — If the most wonderful, fabulous skirt in the world doesn’t have pockets, it doesn’t come home with me.

Same is true for shoes!

I demand shoes I can walk in all day. They have to be lightweight, but with cushioning and support!

That’s fairly easy to find, but then I also want them look good, stylish, or cute. Ones I want to wear.

I have both of the top two pairs. Perfect for some traveling we are planning for this year. Both are amazing. One for neutral and one for when I’m yearning for a bit more of a fun attitude.

I do not have this third pair, because I already have two pairs that are comparable. But I included them in case that’s more what you need.

Two women stand side by side in front of a white brick wall, holding hands. Both wear animal print sneakers. One wears a black dress, the other a leopard print shirt with black shorts. Both have one leg bent at the knee.
A person wearing olive green pants, a gray sweater, and beige knit sneakers with gum soles sits on the floor with legs crossed. Only their lower body is visible against a neutral background.
A person wearing white canvas sneakers with frayed edges and thick, woven jute soles, sitting on a wooden surface. The person is dressed in olive green pants.

I love TOMS because they put out such great products. But also because they do so while also doing good in the world!

They were the brand that brought social consumerism to the front two decades ago. And they are still giving back with every purchase made. They are also a Certified B Corp which means they prioritize and meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and legal accountability.

In other words, spending your money at TOMS doesn’t feel suspect or downright icky.

Interested in my other top picks for responsible consumerism. I have a whole post I created for Give Back Gifting last Christmas season. But all of these companies and their products are not limited to the holidays. Check them out here.

Looking forward to cheering on spring with you.
