What I Can’t Let Go Of:
(just like the NPR Politics podcast on Fridays- minus the “Politics or otherwise” disclaimer.
This blog is publicly, a politics-free zone, so all musings will be “Otherwise“.)
Life and Renovations are so alike
Both are full of surprises,
both are better when you pivot and creatively problem solve,
both require more time and energy than you think they should.
True! True! AND TRUE!

Oh and did I mention tools?
(And creative luggage solutions)

On the Blog This Week

Week 4 of the One Room Challenge
Would you like to add some wall trim, but you want a trim style that is less traditional, more clean-lined and modern, or Craftsman perhaps?
I shared how to stack trim to make your own custom trim without mad woodworking skills.
And specifically how to make a jig to simplify the process!
Do You Need a Housewarming Gift?
I made this framed nest for our daughter and “new son” when they bought their first home together.
This visit we were thrilled to sneak in a small pale pink egg for their filling nest.
When they spied it, Katie teared up and Jon immediately made it his phone wallpaper!
Good indicators they like it!

Coming Next Week:
The ONE ROOM CHALLENGE continues . . . .
The Hubs and I spent the week in DC, actually installing the powder room makeover we’ve been panning for the current ORC.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
But yes, it took a bit longer than first planned.
We had one extra day built in for “play”.
Fortunately, it can feel like play when you love what you’re doing and doing it with those you love!
Because we finished up with celebratory ice cream about 11:00 last night.
The tutorials will start rolling out.

I hope you’ve been enjoying the weekend!!! Thanks for hanging out with me a bit,
