Happy Sunny Saturday
What I Can’t Let Go Of:
(just like the NPR Politics podcast on Fridays- minus the “Politics or otherwise” disclaimer.
This blog is publicly, a politics-free zone, so all musings will be “Otherwise“.)
I can’t let go of how when I step outside my comfort zone,
when I do something “scary”, the rewards are so often amazing. In ways I never imagined!
The Hubs is Methodist, I am Catholic. We prefer to go to church together. So for 39 years, we have been alternating Sundays — one week is our Metholic Sunday, the next is our Cathodist Sunday. A little unorthodox, but it works for us. So we’ve always had two church families.
Two months ago, we stepped out of our comfort zone and committed to a four week “course” in our Methodist church. Our lives have been changed by this small group of crazy diverse people we bonded with over just four 1-hour sessions.
Didn’t see that coming!
Tomorrow, I’ll be standing up with all of them, proudly taking a shared step along our spiritual journey.

On the Blog This Week
Week 2 of the One Room Challenge
I shared the basic principles to keep in mind when making individual design element decisions.
And the importance of the ORDER you make those decision in!
Whether you’re remodeling or just a room makeover, you’ll want to check them out.
Yarn & Floss Day!
Always a favorite day of the month–the 2nd Tuesday, when The Handcrafted Society meets to share projects created from a common medium or theme.
You won’t believe the fun crafts, from yarn flowers, to pom poms, to needle punch, to easy peasy embroidery.

Coming Next Week:
The ONE ROOM CHALLENGE continues . . . .
Next week, I’m talking Installation plans, spreadsheets, scheduling and all that goes into a smooth installation BEFORE the installation!
You’ll leave confident, armed with my best planning tips and printables to assure a smooth installation process.

Does your family enjoy the Kentucky Derby?
Here’s a great treat for you!
Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse shared how she and her husband made their own Horse Race game. along with all the playing pieces.
And If you don’t know this game, she even included the rules her family has always played by,
Looks like a lot of fun!!!
Nicole at Simply Aligned Home is my go-to gal for all DIY build type projects.
I go to her for the eye candy of her designs (she has such a solid personal style, there is never any doubt whether a room is hers) as well as her build techniques.
She shared a post on routers. And her timing could not be more perfect for me!
Maybe it will answer some of your questions too.
